Your Travel Experience with Be Peru DMC
Day 1 - 2
The adventure begins at 6:00 am with a wet boarding and a boat ride to Sirena, traveling along the lush Pacific coast for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. With some luck, you may spot marine life such as turtles, dolphins, whales, and marine birds. Arriving around 7:30 am at Sirena's black sand beach, your guide will lead the group to the station facilities. At the Sirena station, you can leave any excess luggage before continuing the tour into the rainforest with cameras and enthusiasm. At 11:30 am, your guide will find a quiet spot for lunch. During this time, it’s important to stay alert for any animal sightings. Lunch will last about 30 minutes, after which you'll head to the park station to check in and take a 2-hour break. This break is strategic, allowing you to regain energy and wait for day tourists to leave and for animals that prefer cooler temperatures to appear. Between 2:00 and 2:30 pm, your guide will resume the journey, leading you on new trails through rivers with natural pools or primary forest with giant trees. The walk lasts about 3 hours, ending around 5:00 to 6:00 pm. To conclude the day, your guide will join the group for dinner at the station’s restaurant, where you'll recap and discuss the animals seen during your adventures. Day 2 - 3
The day begins just before 5 am as the group prepares to head out before dawn. The cool early morning hours are ideal for spotting animals that rest once the sun warms up. After walking for 2 to 2.5 hours, the group will arrive at the station for breakfast around 7:30 am. Following breakfast, there will be time to rest, check out, and then re-enter the rainforest for a final walk of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. Around midday, the group will take a boat to San Pedrillo Station. The boat ride from Sirena to San Pedrillo takes about 45 minutes, leading to one of the wildest sectors of Corcovado, where the real adventure begins. On this tour, the trails are more irregular and natural. The group will hike to the San Pedrillo Waterfall, where they will have lunch and refresh themselves in freshwater pools. This part of the tour aims to explore one of the few remaining primary rainforests in the world, home to ancient trees over 3000 years old and top predators like pumas and jaguars. Here, animals maintain their natural behavior, making sightings rare but potentially surprising, such as witnessing a Tyra hunting a sloth or a puma hunting a spider monkey. This segment of the tour is beloved for the interactions between prey and predators, even if it's just hearing or sensing them—it’s truly magical. The group will walk on trails less traveled, always seeking the purest and most adventurous experience. In this part of the tour, the pace is faster to surprise elusive animals and to ensure arrival at the station before nightfall. After covering a total of 20 kilometers, the group will reach the station, have dinner, and prepare to rest after a day full of adventure.
Day 3
Wake up to the sounds of the jungle, have breakfast and recharge energy for the last part of the tour. In this hike you will walk about 9 km, always visiting wild trails and away from humans.
You will have the opportunity to bathe in freshwater rivers, and see a beautiful waterfall, and we arrive at noon to the sector of Los Planes where we take lunch and a 4X4 awaits us to leave us in Drake.
