Lithic Museum of Pukara

The Church of San Pedro known worldwide as the Sistine Chapel of America is located in the town of Andahuaylillas. The small town is located 36 kilometers southeast of the city of Cusco. While the exterior of the church looks rather humble, it is the interior that makes it one of the most valuable jewels of colonial art in Peru.

La Raya Pass (The highest point of the Route)

Between snow-capped peaks and original villages, in the Andean highlands between Cusco and Puno, lies the beautiful pre-Inca site of Raqchi. Immediately striking are the slender but very vague columns of Raqchi, some of which rise up to a height of 12 meters into the sky. Undoubtedly, the heart of the settlement, once rectangular and situated high above sea level, is the extraordinary temple of Raqchi. Composed of volcanic rock and clay, the temple dedicated to the Inca god Viracocha is unique in Latin America.

Buffet lunch in Sicuani

The buffet lunch provides an array of dishes, including options for vegan and vegetarian guests, complemented by live Andean music for the enjoyment of passengers. Surrounded by picturesque views of rivers and mountains, guests can savor their meal in the midst of stunning natural scenery. Following the buffet, passengers have the opportunity to mingle and capture photos with the camelids grazing in the open fields. Please note that cold drinks, such as soft drinks or beer, are not included.

Raqchi Aarchaeological Complex

The museum has a collection of monoliths and lithic sculptures from the Pucara Culture. They are classified in three groups: monoliths, stelae and zoomorphic sculptures. Among the pieces on display are the 2 metre high Stela of the Rain or Stela of the Lightning, the stone monolith of the Cutthroat or Hatun Ñakaj and the Devourer.
